The main purpose of the afloat barbershop is to provide regulation haircuts to shipboard personnel and maintain the traditional smart ap- pearance of Navy men and women.

Wonder how all of our troops keep their coifs so, well, coiffed? Beauty and Fashion Director caught up with some of our enlisted men and women aboard the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), the Amphibious Assault Ship and aircraft carrier that was docked in NYC during Fleet Week earlier this summer.

Currently aircraft from Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) embarked aboard Truman are providing close air support and conducting intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions in ongoing operations over Iraq.
Truman's Carrier Strike Group Ten (CSG-10) and embarked CVW-3 are currently on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
