YELLOW SEA (April 11, 2010).


The Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52) is anchored in the Yellow Sea. 

Salvor is supporting Republic of Korea (ROK) navy efforts to salvage a ROK navy ship ROKS Cheonan (PCC-772) that sank March 26.

YELLOW SEA (April 6, 2010).

U.S. and Republic of Korea sailors conduct a medical evacuation training exercise in the Yellow Sea.

Personnel from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5, and Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1, embarked aboard the Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52) and search and rescue units from the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) are participating in the exercise.

In the background is the Republic of Korea Navy salvage and rescue ship ROKS Gwangyang (ATS 28).
