Doha-Qatar, 6th February 2010: The 2nd Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2010), organized by QMDI and hosted by the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF), has reported 90% exhibition sales as the Middle East and North Africa’s only integrated maritime defence exhibition and conference remains on course to sell out in advance of the event’s 29th March 2010 opening.
DIMDEX 2010 sales and sponsorship demand is extremely high, with many companies expressing strong interest and the final exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities expected to be claimed in the coming weeks.
Since launching DIMDEX 2010, exhibition sales have forged ahead with many major maritime defence companies having reserved standalone exhibition space or booked space in one of the DIMDEX 2010 National Pavilions.
“Robust exhibitor sales and high attendance from VIPs and international decision makers shows the wisdom of our two-year global campaign to promote DIMDEX at all the leading maritime defence events around the world," says DIMDEX 2010 Exhibition Director Mr. Mohamad Nabhani.
DIMDEX 2010 begins on Monday 29th March 2010, expecting to welcome 7,000 visiting delegates including 91 VIP delegations and 135 exhibitors from 30 countries to Qatar’s state of the art Doha Exhibition Center over the course of the three day event.
DIMDEX 2010 is the gateway to the lucrative Middle East and North African market which anticipates high spend on naval ship acquisitions in the next 5 years.
One of many new DIMDEX 2010 attractions for senior maritime officers is the DIMDEX Middle East Naval Commanders (MENC) Conference, the biggest gathering of naval commanders in the Middle East in 2010 taking place on Tuesday 30 March 2010 and produced by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in co-operation with QMDI.
The MENC conference program will address three areas central to maritime security; the policy priorities of the region’s navies; the technologies that can help deliver security at sea; and the challenges confronting commanders in the conduct of operations.
“DIMDEX 2010, incorporating the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference, will be the region’s preeminent maritime defence event in 2010,” confirms Mohamad Nabhani.
